Day 1: Wed., 12/26

Drove to the Pamola Motel in Millinocket, ME, and arrived in the early evening. Checked over our gear and had a bite to eat.

Met for breakfast, and then started the 12 mi. skiing to Roaring Brook Campground bunkhouse (took us from 10:40AM - 6:00PM!).

Hiked 3.3 mi. to the Chimney Pond Campground bunkhouse.

Woke up early, and start the 2.2 mi. summit climb up the Saddle Trail at 7:30. We ran into very strong winds above the treeline, and turned back. Back to the bunkhouse for lunch, and then hiked back to Roaring Brook in the afternoon.
